i GALLERY OSAKA is a modern art gallery in the Shimsaibashi suji shopping arcade in Semba.

The area is known as "Semba" and was developed nearby Osaka castle and has a rich merchant history.

i GALLERY OSAKA will exhibit a wide range of art originating in street culture, such as urban, low-brow, pop-up, and photography art.

This alternative space was born in a brand new building within the shopping district, whose interior design was overseen by Yusuke Seki. The concept is the creation of a foreign object within a temple-like space and to enjoy the street's ageing and change over time.

Eric Elms did the logo-design, an artist well-acquainted with street culture.

The design's concept is "containers." We think the form of the gallery will change with exhibitions and the people who come to visit it. In particular, this gallery's specific design is designed to be an independent space for artwork to be exhibited. i GALLERY OSAKA's (i) is the central container, and the combination of the two containers {} and[]symbolizes and expresses a modular system containing a variety of different information.
