" Subtle shifts "

This time at i GALLERY OSAKA, we will hold the solo exhibition “Subtle shifts” by the artist Kenta SENEKT.

Kenta SENEKT is an artist who has quietly delved into the very “structure of images,” exploring how multiple elements such as matter, light, arrangement, and memory interact with one another to form a single image. He sensitively captures the minute deviations and subtle signs hidden in everyday life, and develops a unique practice of reorganizing them into visual structures that hold both tension and balance.

This exhibition features a series of roughly twenty new two-dimensional works, presenting the densest form of the thinking Kenta SENEKT has been building in recent years while based in Osaka. The angle of the viewer’s gaze and the position from which the works are experienced generate quietly shifting sensations on the surface, creating a space that reexamines the very act of “seeing.”

“Subtle shifts” is an attempt to refocus attention on the minute deviations that support the foundation upon which images are formed.

Through this exhibition, we hope you will experience the contours of the “structure of perception” that Kenta SENEKT’s works quietly reveal.

"In the flow of everyday life, I tend to the spaces around me— shaping them, placing objects in my room or studio where they feel most at ease.

When I finish, familiar things appear slightly renewed, and I feel a small, quiet richness in my mood. But that feeling gradually fades with time, and daily life resumes its rhythm.

Arrange, fade, arrange again — In this cycle, the subtle shifts and emotions that arise become my guide.

Drawing on them, I interweave fragments of new memories, records, and perspectives from my everyday life into my ongoing series, seeking to reveal another dimension of the motif through this exhibition.
